Catch-up TV (the easiest option)
Many IPTV services include catch-up (also called archive or timeshift) — you can scroll back in the guide and replay programs that already aired, usually for the last few days. Open the EPG, select a past program, and play it. No recording setup needed.
Recording with TiviMate Premium
TiviMate’s premium tier can record live channels to your device or external storage. Open the channel, press record (or schedule from the EPG), and the file saves locally. You need enough storage and a device that allows it (Android TV/box).
Recording on other apps
IPTV Smarters and some players offer basic recording too; Kodi with the PVR client can record via a backend. Capabilities vary, so check your app’s recording menu. For simple needs, catch-up usually covers it.
What you need
For local recording: an app that supports it (e.g. TiviMate Premium), enough free storage (or a USB drive on a box), and a stable connection. For catch-up: just a provider that includes the archive feature — ask before you buy if it matters to you.
