How to set up Kodi for IPTV

Reviewed by Alex Carter IPTV & Streaming Expert Updated June 2026

Kodi (also searched as Kodi IPTV, PVR IPTV Simple Client) is one of the most popular IPTV players — it runs on Windows, Mac, Android, Firestick, Linux and connects with your M3U playlist URL via PVR IPTV Simple Client. Follow the steps below to connect it to your TopOne IPTV subscription and start streaming in minutes.

Step 1

Install Kodi from kodi.tv or your device store and open it.

Step 2

Go to Add-ons → My add-ons → PVR clients → "PVR IPTV Simple Client" → Configure.

Step 3

Set "Location" to Remote URL and paste the M3U URL we send you.

Step 4

Add the EPG (XMLTV) URL under the EPG Settings tab, then enable the client.

Step 5

Restart Kodi and open the TV section to see your channels.

Fix: Kodi shows "no channels" after setup

Make sure PVR IPTV Simple Client is enabled (not just installed) and that you pasted the M3U URL under "Remote URL", not a local file. After saving, fully restart Kodi — the channel list only loads on a clean restart.
